An expert analyzes the reason why Johnny Depp won, which was initially considered unfavorable.

On Wednesday, June 1, Johnny Depp’s claim was accepted in the defamation trial against his ex-wife, Amber Heard. Johnny had lost a libel suit he filed last year against the British tabloid “The Sun,” which described him as a “domestic violence husband,” and was initially thought to be on the wrong side of the lawsuit. This time, however, Johnny won the case, and the Virginia court ordered Amber Heard to pay $10.35 million in damages.

Former California judge Halim Danidina told The Post that Johnny’s victory was largely due to the low credibility of Amber’s testimony.

Halim Danidina continued, “The trial depended less on legal issues and more on how credible Amber’s testimony was,” he said, “but she was unable to finish the trial with her own credibility intact.”

Mr. Danidina then went on to say that the key point of the trial was that “the lack of any real credibility in Amber’s cross-examination led to her defeat.

As such, Danidina points out that the jurors likely thought that Amber was “lying” about her claims.

He said, “‘Amber was unhappy with Depp. That’s why she lied on purpose,’ the jurors may have thought,” concluded Danidina.

Texas civil attorney Katherine Lizardo also said that the testimony of Depp’s ex-girlfriend, supermodel Kate Moss, “stayed” the case.

Attorney Katherine Lizardo said, “Amber claimed that ‘she, like Kate Moss, was almost thrown down the stairs herself,’ which Kate Moss herself denied. This greatly damaged the credibility of her testimony”.
