Austin Butler reveals an episode in which he consulted with one of the great actors.

The film was directed by the great Baz Luhrmann, who also directed “Moulin Rouge” (2001).

According to Austin, he sought the advice of a major actor on how he should relate to director Baz Luhrmann in order to participate in this film.

That big-name actor was Leonardo DiCaprio, 47, who co-starred in the 2019 film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Leonardo DiCaprio has worked with Buzz on two previous films, “Romeo + Juliet” in 1998 and “The Great Gatsby” in 2013.

In a recent interview with “Entertainment Weekly,” Austin recalled a conversation he had with Leo at that time.

In the interview, he said, “Leo said to me, ‘You know what? He said to me, ‘Buzz consistently tries to throw you off balance. He would bring out a side of you that you didn’t know existed,'” Austin said. I experienced exactly what Leo said.” Austin confessed that he had taken advantage of Leo’s advice.

Austin also reflected on the filming of “Elvis”: “The first few days, I was like, ‘Buzz, why don’t you do it the way you prepared? But then I realized that he was trying to push me to my limits. But then I realized that he was pushing me to my limits. It’s like working a miracle. If you just put out what you’ve prepared, it’s only going to be adequate,” he said.
