The name of Disney’s new attraction has finally been revealed.

Disney Parks, which manages and operates theme parks around the world, announced on Friday, July 1, at ESSENCE Fest in New Orleans, Louisiana, the names of two new attractions at California Disneyland and Florida Walt World Disneyland. The name of the new attraction, which is a revamped version of the popular Splash Mountain ride at the California Disneyland and Florida Walt World Disney Resorts, was unveiled.

The name of Disney’s new attraction has finally been revealed.

The new attraction is called Tiana’s Bayou Advenure. The attraction is inspired by the 2009 film “The Princess and the Frog,” in which the heroine, Tiana, is visited by a prince who is transformed into a frog and struggles to get back to his original form.

The event provided an opportunity for Disney Imagineers (engineers), who design and engineer the theme park, to engage in discussion.

Since the motif of the revamped ride is set in New Orleans, the Imagineers revealed behind-the-scenes details of the production, including how the unique culture of New Orleans influenced the attraction’s design.

Executive Producer Charita Carter called out, “In every sense, ‘Tiana’s Bayou Adventure’ is a love letter to New Orleans,” adding, “Just as the music that lives and breathes in this city has had a profound impact on the attraction, so has the culture of the city. Tiana’s second chapter will bring harmony to the community. She reminds us of the immutable truth: ‘If you do your best every day, good things will happen. It’s a melody we can all sing along with,” she enthused.

Tiana’s Bayou Advenure is slated to open in 2024, but has not yet been confirmed for Tokyo Disneyland.
