Texas State University has announced that it will offer a course on Harry Styles, a member of the popular boy group One Direction, who is currently active as a solo singer and actor.

The course is titled “Harry Styles and the Cult of Celebrity. The course will be offered next spring at Texas State University’s Honors College.
The course will focus on Harry Styles’ work in both music and film in order to “understand the cultural and political development of the modern celebrity,” according to the course.
Professor Rui Dean Valencia, who will be taking the course, announced the news on social networking sites, claiming that this is the first course of its kind.
Professor Valencia said, “This is official. For the first time in the world, I will be teaching a university course on the work of Harry Styles,” he commented.

The professor also released a description of the course. The course will focus on British musician Harry Styles and European popular culture, and will provide students with an understanding of the cultural and political development of contemporary celebrity in relation to issues of gender and sexuality, race, class, nation and globalism, media, fashion, fan culture, internet culture, and consumerism. and political developments related to issues of gender, sexuality, race, class, nation and globalization, fan culture, Internet culture and consumerism.
He added, “Self-expression and satisfaction with oneself are a big part of Harry’s message.
