The Wall Street Journal reported that businessman Elon Musk, 51, CEO of Tesla Inc. and SpaceX, Inc. was having an affair with Nicole Shanahan, wife of Sergey Brin, co-founder of Google Inc.
According to a source to the Wall Street Journal, Musk and Shanahan had a “temporary relationship” during Art Basel, an art event that was held in Miami, U.S., from December 2 to December 4 last year.
Brin and Shanahan, who married in 2018 and have one child together, filed for divorce in January of this year. In it, they stated that they had been separated since December 15, 2021. The Wall Street Journal noted that the relationship between Mr. Musk and Mr. Shanahan was a deciding factor in the divorce.
Mr. Musk, who owns Tesla Inc. and Mr. Brin, co-founder of Google Inc. have been known as friends for many years and had a strong connection as business partners, with Mr. Brin supporting Tesla Inc. when the company ran into financial difficulties in 2008.
However, the Wall Street Journal reported that the latest affair “put an end” to the friendship between Brin and Musk. According to the Journal, Mr. Musk knelt down in front of Mr. Brin and asked for forgiveness, but Mr. Brin refused to listen and decided to withdraw from investing in Tesla and other businesses related to Mr. Musk.
It was reported that Mr. Musk had just had twins with another woman, Shivon Zilis, the CEO of Neuralink, a BMI (brain-machine interface) company he founded in 2016, a few weeks before the birth of his second child with his ex-girlfriend Grimes. The twins were born to another woman, Shivon Zilis, the CEO of Neuralink.
Musk caused a stir the other day when he announced that he was pulling out of the Twitter acquisition. He has been in the news a lot, both publicly and privately.
