Nick Carter of the popular boy group Backstreet Boys posted a statement about his brother, Aaron Carter, who recently passed away.

Singer and model Aaron Carter was found dead in the bathroom of his Lancaster, California home on the morning of November 5, U.S. time, at the young age of 34. A representative of his team confirmed his death, and the cause of death and other details are not known at this time.

Nick posted several photos of his brother Aaron and his memories of him from when they were little. My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded.

Nick added, ” I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed. Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know. I love you Chizz. Now you can finally have the peace you could never find here on earth….God,Please take care of my baby brother.” he wrote, expressing his heartache and his deep love for him.
