Joseph Kosinski, director of “Top Gun Maverick,” reveals what Tom Cruise did as a child that was so daredevil.
Tom Cruise’s “dangerous games” as a child are revealed.
Joseph Kosinski, who has worked with Tom Cruise on the 2013 film “Oblivion” as well as “Top Gun Maverick,” shared some facts about Tom in an interview with ET.
‘Tom used to jump off the roof of our house when he was a kid. He’s always been like that. He loves stunts. He is always very well trained and works with the best people. To an outsider, it seems insane. But he wouldn’t want to do anything else. That’s his dream. He lives his dream by doing these things [i.e., dangerous stunts] on movie sets every day.”
Kosinski casually revealed the shocking fact that he used to jump off the roof of his house when he was a child. Tom, who has starred in many action movies, is known for performing dangerous stunts by himself, but it seems that he showed a glimpse of this from his childhood.
When Tom attended the Cannes Film Festival last year, he said, “My mother was in the kitchen. （I jumped off the roof (to make sure she wasn’t watching). The moment I jumped, I said, ‘I can’t do it. This is terrible. I’m going to die. And I hit the ground hard. Luckily the ground was wet.
Incidentally, Tom, as an adult, jumped off a cliff, not a roof.
