Stromae is a Belgian rapper and singer/songwriter. From his new album “Multitude,” he collaborated with Camila Cabello on the song “Mon Amore,” which is part of the album! The album was also re-released with the addition of that song. A music video featuring the singer herself has also been released, and the collaboration is gaining even more momentum.

Madonna and Kanye West are also fans of Stromae!

Stromae is an electro-hip-hop musician who is extremely popular mainly in Europe, and became famous when “Alors on danse” from his 2009 debut album “Cheese” reached No. 1 in 15 countries and regions. The album “Racine Carry” was a #1 hit in six countries, including Belgium and France, and sold over 2 million copies in France, winning four Victoire Music Awards (sponsored by the French Ministry of Culture), four NRJ Music Awards, and an MTV Europe Music Award.

He has also performed at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and gave the first ever sold-out show at Madison Square Garden by an artist singing exclusively French songs. His talent soon caught the attention of big-name musicians, with Madonna and Kanye West professing to be fans of Stromae. Kanye even released a remix of “Alors on danse.

Camila Cabello, who has decided to collaborate with Stromae, is no exception. She has publicly stated on her social networking sites that she is a fan, saying, “I’ve been wanting to collaborate with him for a long time! I heard his album and really loved this song. I chatted with him about it and we ended up writing a verse in the studio and now we’re collaborating! Camila also wrote, “Mon ami,” which is a song that she wrote for the album. Camilla sings “Mon Amore” in French as well as English.

The music video released at the same time is also exciting. The video, inspired by a romantic reality show, was directed by Julien & Quentin. The video begins with the introduction of the unique characters, followed by the usual reality show pool party and seduction contests, and ends with a messy ending as the relationships between the characters become entangled. The tropical soundtrack makes it very comical, so be sure to check it out.
