Singer Aaron Carter died on November 5 local time. His brother Nick Carter, a member of the Backstreet Boys, performed on stage immediately after his death, but broke down crying during the performance.

Aaron Carter was found dead in the bathroom of his home in Lancaster, California, on the morning of November 5 local time. Representatives from his team reportedly confirmed his death, but the cause of death and other details are not known at this time.
Amidst the grief over the news of Aaron’s passing, Aaron’s brother Nick Carter attended a “Backstreet Boys” concert at the O2 Arena in London on the evening of November 6, UK time. The appearance came less than 24 hours after Aaron’s death was reported.
According to the Daily Mail, while the Backstreet Boys were singing their hit song “Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely,” Nick became emotional and could not finish the song.
During the MC, member Kevin Richardson said to the fans, “Thank you for being a part of the Backstreet Boys family for 29 years. We’ve been through a lot together. My heart is a little heavy tonight. Because we lost a member of our family yesterday,” he said, and the members rushed to Nick and exchanged warm hugs. A fan captured a video of Nick sobbing.

Kevin continued, “We wanted a moment in this show to confirm Aaron’s presence. He is part of our family and we thank all of our fans for their love and support,” he sent his condolences.
Before the show, Nick commented on his brother Aaron’s death with a photo. He wrote that his relationship with his brother had been a constant feud, but that it was still heartbreakingly painful and that “my love for him never ceased.
