Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, bought Snickers at a 7-Eleven in his hometown of Hawaii. There was a deep reason for this.

Dwayne Johnson, who plays Tess Adam/Black Adam in the movie “Black Adam,” the main character who became a god of destruction in exchange for his son’s life, reported on his Instagram that he bought Snickers at a 7-Eleven convenience store in his home state of Hawaii.

In fact, there was a deeper reason for Dwayne’s behavior. Dwayne is now a very successful and wealthy actor who has been ranked No. 1 in Forbes’ annual ranking of the world’s most profitable actors for two consecutive years, but there was a time when he was in financial difficulty, as when he was evicted from the Hawaiian home he shared with his mother at age 15.

Dwayne, who was 14 years old at the time, was a shoplifter for about a year at a 7-Eleven on his way to the gym, and he has been concerned about his past mistakes ever since he became famous.

He said, “I finally got rid of the chocolate demon that had tormented me for decades; I was kicked out of Hawaii in ’87, and after so many years, I finally came back to right this wrong. I was broke, so when I was 14, I used to steal a king-size Snickers every day from the 7-Eleven on my way to the gym. And I ate them before my workouts. There was always the same clerk at the store, but she turned a blind eye and never caught me. Over the years I have exterminated the big demon inside of me (although there is still a little left). So, as ridiculous as it may sound to some, every time I came back to Hawaii and walked past a 7-Eleven, I knew I needed to buy up all the Snickers in the store and empty the shelves.”

True to his word, after emptying the shelves lined with Snickers, Dwayne paid $298 at the register, tipped the clerk, and even offered the Snickers he had purchased to other customers for free. The video also included Dwayne graciously taking pictures with customers inside and outside the store.

In closing, Dwayne said, “We cannot change the past nor our foolish deeds. But even in such circumstances, we can find a little glimmer of hope. And maybe we can make strangers smile”.
