Nick Carter is a member of the Backstreet Boys. He was accused of raping an underage fan in 2001, but has denied the claims made by the female fan.

The person who claims to have been victimized by Nick is Shannon “Shay” Ruth. She held a press conference and accused Nick of sexually assaulting her when she was only 17 years old. She then tearfully commented, “I am autistic and have cerebral palsy, but I don’t think anything Nick Carter has done or said to me has affected me and had a more lasting impact on my life than what he did to me.”
She also revealed that she contracted HPV (human papillomavirus * the virus that causes cervical cancer) after Nick forced her to have sex with him.
According to a copy of the complaint obtained by Page Six, Nick allegedly lured Ruth onto a tour bus after a concert in Tacoma, Washington, and offered her a red-colored drink believed to be a mix of alcohol and cranberry juice. Nick then allegedly took her, then a virgin, to a bed on the tour bus, where he continued to sexually assault her.
In response, Nick’s attorney, Michael Holtz, said in a statement, “This claim about an incident that allegedly occurred over 20 years ago is not only legally without merit, it is completely untrue.
