A growing number of people are warning Prince Harry and Princess Meghan not to attend King Charles’ coronation next May.
If they do come, they will be booed.
Prince Harry and Mrs. Meghan began distributing a documentary program on December 8, which has just caused controversy for its criticism of the royal family. In response to these events, a former British politician expressed concern that if they came, they would be booed.
The Netflix documentary on Prince Harry and Meghan, “Harry & Meghan,” has caused quite a stir.
In the first episode, which was released on December 8, Prince Harry claims that there is an unconscious prejudice against race in the royal family, and Meghan exaggeratedly mimics the “curtesy” gesture when she first meets Queen Elizabeth. Prince and Princess Harry were seen on the program.
In response to this expression of Prince Harry and Princess Elizabeth on the program, former British politicians, military officers, historians, and others have warned in unison that the couple should not attend King Charles’ coronation, the Daily Mail Online reported.
The coronation will be held at Westminster Abbey in London on May 6 next year. Members of the royal family will attend the ceremony, but it is not clear if Prince Harry and his wife will attend.
Commenting on this, former British Conservative David Mellor said, “They should not come to the coronation. I am adamant. They are making money by betraying their families. We should make it clear that the British people do not want them to come,” he said.
He added, “If they show up, they will be booed. They are a sad couple. As it stands, there is no hope for them,” he added.
Former Conservative Party leader Iain Duncan Smith questioned, “If they hate the royal family so much, why would they be interested in attending the coronation?
Meanwhile, royal historian Lady Antonia Fraser said, “I hope they don’t come. On the other hand, Lady Antonia Fraser, a royal historian, said, “I hope they don’t come, because on this day, the king and queen should be the center of attention.
I am afraid that if they come, photographers will waste their time. All they have to do is stay in Hollywood and hold hands.”
Retired Major General Chris Parry said, “I think they have lost their rights as royalty. By recording and reporting things, they are showing themselves to be unreliable,” he said, explaining that
‘The coronation will be another red carpet event for them to step on. They do not match the dignity and importance of the ceremony.”
The media poll revealed that about half of those surveyed believe that Prince Harry and his wife should not be allowed to attend the coronation.
Those who think Prince Harry should be excluded from the line of succession to the throne and stripped of the title of Duke of Sussex have swelled to twice as many as those who think the couple’s current status should be maintained, according to the report.
