According to Page Six, the Washoe County Sheriff revealed the details of the accident at a press conference on Tuesday, January 3, local time. Jeremy was hit by a “very large snow plow” weighing at least 14,330 pounds (6499.9787 kilograms).
At the time, Jeremy was trying to retrieve the vehicle and move it when he got caught in it. At first he succeeded in moving it, and he left the pistenbully (snowplow) to talk to his family. But then the pistenbully began to roll, he said. The sheriff explained that “in an attempt to stop the rolling pistenbully, Mr. Renner tried to get back into the driver’s seat of the pistenbully. He commented, “According to our investigation, at this point Mr. Renner was run over.”
Jeremy was reportedly taken by helicopter to a local hospital after being seriously injured in a snowplow accident at his Nevada home on January 1. Jeremy, who suffered a number of injuries, including “blunt chest trauma,” posted a photo of himself at the hospital on Instagram.
He shared a photo of himself, which shows bruising and blood on the left side of his face, and thanked his fans for their outpouring of love.
