Shakira admits in a shocking new song that she was “hurt” by the relationship between her ex-lover Gerard Pique and his girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.
She describes Pique’s girlfriend as “his new babe” and warns her not to “take up with the man.”
In her recently released collaboration with Karol G, “TQG,” Shakira sings in Spanish, “You are no longer welcome here,” and continues, “I saw what your girlfriend threw at me / I’m not angry / I laughed.”

In the chorus, she also describes Pique’s girlfriend as “his new babe” and warns him not to “take up with the man”.
She further states in the lyrics, “When I saw you with your new girlfriend, I was hurt.” Shakira revealed in 2021 that she was “devastated” when she realized that Marti was in the background of one of the zooms Gerard made from his home. A source said, “Shakira was devastated to learn that this woman was obviously relaxing in the house where she lived with her children.”
Speaking of Pique, he also recently made his relationship with Marti official on Instagram.
Later in the song, Shakira calls herself “hotter and much tougher” after he left her.
She also claims that Pique “wants to get back together” and that it would be “stupid” to do so, singing that her life is even better without her ex and that it “pissed him off.”
This is not the first time Shakira has dissed her ex in a song. The music video for “Te Felicito” showed a man’s head on a platter in a refrigerator, seemingly alluding to the scandal.

Speaking of Shakira, she said in October 2022 that becoming a single mother was “incredibly difficult” for her. It was hard not only for me, but for my children,” she told Elle at the time. She commented, “We have a job to do for these two wonderful sons, and I believe we can find a solution that is fair to their future, to my own dreams in life, and to everyone involved.”
