Singer Camila Cabello (26) and Shawn Mendes (24) were spotted making out just the other day, and “marriage allegations” surfaced.
The singers themselves have not spoken about the matter at all, but a source has made a new statement that has become the talk of the town.
On 14 April (local time), the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (commonly known as Coachella), a large-scale outdoor music festival held every spring in California, US. Camila and Shawn, who visited the festival, were seen many times kissing and hugging “like a couple”.
Camila and Shawn broke up in November 2021. Camila then dated Austin Kevitch, 31, CEO of dating app Lox Club, until February this year. Meanwhile, Shawn has recently been rumoured to be in love with chiropractor Dr Jocelyn Miranda (51) and singer and actress Sabrina Carpenter (23).
So much so that their flirting at Coachella came as a shock to fans, but a source told ET: “Camila and Shawn had been talking and spending time together for months before ‘Coachella’ took place. It was made clear that they did not simply get into the moment.
This person added: ‘Shawn and Camilla have been in touch over the last few weeks, talking about the break-up and clearing up misunderstandings. There is still a connection between them and both have told each other they still care about each other. They also said that “at the moment [the relationship] is very casual” and that “there is still an undeniable chemistry between them and people around them feel it”.
