Singer Aaron Carter passed away suddenly in November last year.

He used to be an idol singer, but became addicted to alcohol and drugs and gradually left the limelight.

His documentary programme ‘Aaron Carter: The Little Prince of Pop’ will soon be broadcast on the ABC channel in the US.

A trailer has now been released ahead of the broadcast.

In it, AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys, the vocal group to which Aaron Carter’s brother Nick Carter belongs, talks about the moment he reached out to Aaron.

In the trailer, he says: “It was 2017. Aaron reached out to me. He wanted to help me. So I said. ‘Look, get on a plane and come to Los Angeles. I’ll make sure you get the treatment you need,'” AJ recalled. I was able to get him to a treatment facility in Malibu”, he continued.

AJ added: “A few days after that, I spoke to Aaron. But then I lost contact with him, I think it was about two weeks later, I called a friend at the treatment facility. And he said, ‘He’s already been discharged'”, revealing that Aaron had left the facility without any care.

Aaron passed away on 5 November last year. He was found dead in the bathtub of his home in California. It was recently announced that the cause of death was drowning.
