Ryan Reynolds is taking a keen interest in the world of Formula One.
The official F1 website has just announced that actor Ryan Reynolds has purchased a stake in the F1 team Alpine through his own investment company, Maximum Effort Investments.

According to the website, Alpine was “looking for investors to close the gap with the top teams in Formula One.
In addition to Ryan, Rob McElhenny, Michael B. Jordan, and others, along with Otro Capital and Redbird Capital Partners, have reportedly invested about 200 million euros (about 31.2 billion yen) to acquire a 24% stake in Alpine Racing Limited, which operates the Alpine F1 team. Alpine is said to have sold its shares.
Alpine, in response to the sale of its stake, said in a statement, “We hope to benefit from the investor group’s comprehensive expertise and experience in the sports industry, including media, sponsorship, ticketing, hospitality, commercial license management, licensing, and merchandising strategies, to create added value and unlock new avenues for growth. With this financing, Alpine’s valuation is now approximately $900 million (128.9 billion yen).
