On July 16, Inter Miami of Major League Soccer (MLS) held “The Unveil was held at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, north of Miami, Florida.

Co-owner and former England international David Beckham opened the ceremony by describing Messi’s arrival as a “dream come true,” while owner Jorge Mas said, “This is our moment! This is our moment! This is the moment that will change soccer in this country! and introduced Messi as “your new number 10, the number 10 of the United States.
Messi said, “Thank you all for your support and giving me such love. I am very happy to be here in Miami. I have the same desire as ever to fight and win so that the club can continue to grow”.
Messi, who arrived in Miami on July 11 and was photographed with his family shopping at a local supermarket, said, “I am happy to come to this city with my family and to have chosen this project. We will have fun, have a good time, and I am sure good things will happen,” he added.
Messi is expected to make his debut for the new club in the League Cup 2023 against Cruz Azul (Mexico) on July 21.
