Popular actor Johnny Depp is dating a lawyer who was part of his defense team in the past, according to TMZ.
Speaking of Johnny Depp, the British Sun newspaper had filed a defamation suit against Johnny for describing him as a “domestic violence husband,” but Johnny’s side lost the case at the end of 2020. This year, Johnny also filed a libel suit against his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard, and on June 1, the case was settled in the form that Johnny’s side’s claim was accepted.
Johnny is now dating an English lawyer named Joel Rich, who was one of the defense team at the trial in England.
Joel Rich is currently still registered with her former husband, but she is in the process of divorcing him. She also has two children with her ex-husband.
Us Weekly magazine reports that Joel Rich was not part of the team in the defamation trial with Amber Heard, but was present in court to support Johnny.
Joel Rich’s bio describes her area of expertise as “working to protect [her client’s] reputation from false and defamatory claims in print, online, and social media” and “specializing specifically in protecting personal privacy from unwarranted intrusion and media attention.” She said.
Speaking of Johnny, he seemed close to Camille Vasquez, one of the lawyers who led him to victory in his libel trial against Amber Heard, and for a time a theory surfaced that Johnny and Camille were dating, but Camille brushed off the rumors. Camille dismissed the rumors, calling them “an irrational attack and sexist.”
