Singer Justin Bieber has appealed to his fans to “don’t buy” products sold at H&M that use his picture or name.
Justin Bieber claims unauthorized use, but H&M denies it.
Singer Justin Bieber, who surprised his Japanese fans with a private visit to Japan this past November, has appealed to his fans not to “buy” products sold at H&M that use his photo or name.
He said, “I don’t approve of the merchandising collections they have at H&M. I don’t approve of the merchandising collections in H&M. They are all sold without my permission or approval. I don’t believe it. I wouldn’t buy it if I were you. H&M products with me as a model are garbage. I don’t approve of it. Don’t buy it.”
Currently, H&M overseas sells clothing and accessories with Justin’s photo and song lyrics on them. Although Justin claims “unauthorized use,” H&M denies the allegations, saying, “As with all licensed products and partnerships, H&M has followed the appropriate approval procedures.
This is not the first time that H&M has collaborated with Justin, and in the past, H&M has used Justin’s name and photo on several occasions. H&M has also collaborated with popular artists such as Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, and BLACKPINK in addition to Justin, so it is hard to believe that H&M has violated its license.
