Actress Zendaya (26), who is currently starring in the international drama “Euphoria,” has become the talk of the town after winning the Best Actress Award (TV category) at the 80th Golden Globe Awards, a festival for the TV and film industry.

On January 10 (local time), the 80th Golden Globe Awards were held at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, California. Although Zendaya herself was unfortunately absent from the ceremony, she beat out senior actors Imelda Staunton (“The Crown”) and Hilary Swank (“Alaska Daily”) to win Best Actress in the Television category.

Euphoria” is a drama series that has been gaining popularity among young people since it aired on the U.S. HBO channel (U-NEXT in Japan) in 2019. Zendaya, who plays the role of Lou Bennett, a high school student with drug addiction and anxiety disorder, has won two Best Actress awards (in 2020 and 2022) at the Emmy Awards, the highest award ceremony in the U.S. television industry.
