Ed Sheeran and Adele decline King Charles’ request to perform

Ed Sheeran and Adele, two of Britain’s leading singers, have turned down a request to perform at a celebratory concert scheduled to take place on May 7 (local time), the day after the coronation of King Charles of the British Royal Family.

According to OK! UK, Ed and Adele were among the artists that King Charles personally listed, and King Charles had strongly hoped that they would perform at the celebration concert. However, Ed was scheduled to give a concert in Texas the day before the celebration concert, and his schedule was deemed too tight. Adele, on the other hand, has no plans to perform after March 25 and has free time on and around the day of the coronation concert, but she “declined the invitation without explanation,” according to the media outlet.

Although the performers for the coronation celebration concert have not yet been confirmed, Lionel Richie and the Spice Girls are the most likely candidates, and Harry Styles, who recently won two Grammy Awards at the 65th Grammy Awards, including Best Album of the Year, is also rumored to be in the mix. Rumors are flying around that Harry Styles, who recently won two awards at the 65th Grammy Awards, including Best Album of the Year, will also perform. Harry is currently in the midst of a world tour, but there is no problem with his schedule as he is not scheduled to perform until May 13 in Horsens, Denmark, following his Tokyo, Japan, concert on March 5.

Incidentally, there has been a lot of attention on whether or not King Charles’ second son, Prince Harry, and his wife, Princess Meghan, will attend the coronation, but since they have been in a strained relationship with their families since leaving the royal family, they have not decided what they will do. Several British media outlets, including the Daily Mail, have reported that the couple “have received an invitation but are holding off on a response.
