‘Succession’ anons in Deadpool 3! The film will start shooting in May, what do we know now…?

The latest film in Marvel’s Deadpool series, starring Ryan Reynolds, will feature Matthew Macfadyen of Succession fame, Variety and others report.

Deadpool 3 will be directed by Shawn Levy, who worked with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and Adam & Adam.

The film will also see Hugh Jackman reprise his role as Wolverine. Last December, it was also reported that production would begin in May this year.

Director Levy said of the film last year: ‘It’s so much fun to laugh every day. It’s very interesting to hear, write and come up with scenes where people are just swearing”, he said about the script.

Incidentally, Matthew and Marvel Studios have yet to officially comment.

Succession, in which Matthew stars, revolves around a brilliant family said to be modelled on global media tycoon ‘Rupert Murdoch’. The show depicts the struggle for succession, riddled with self-interest and greed, in a realistic, bitter and cynical manner. Season 4 was released in the US on 26 March.

Deadpool 3 will be released in the US on 6 September 2024, and with reports that production will begin in May, expectations are high for further news.
