The coronation of King Charles of the United Kingdom will take place on 6 May this year.

On 4 April, in publishing King Charles’ invitation, the British Royal Family also explained Prince George’s role.

Prince George, Prince William’s eldest son, 9, will be one of the eight ‘Page of Honour’ on the day.

A ‘Page of Honour’ is an attendant of the King or Queen at a ceremony.

At the coronation, King Charles and Queen Camilla will each walk through Westminster Abbey with four Page of Honour. And it appears that Prince George and other boys of the Prince’s age, including Sir Oliver Cholmondeley, Rev Nicholas Barclay and Rev Ralph Tremache, will be the King’s Page of Honour.

Queen Camilla’s attendants will also be her three grandchildren from her ex-husband and her sister’s grandchildren.

In addition, new photos of the King and Queen taken recently in the Blue Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace have also been released.

Invitations have been sent to 2,000 people in Japan and abroad for the coronation, which will be attended by Prince and Princess Akishino from Japan. From the USA, it is expected that First Lady Mrs Jill Biden, not President Joe Biden, will attend.

Also in the spotlight are the movements of King Charles’ second son, Prince Harry, and his wife, Princess Meghan.

Although invitations have been sent to them, it remains unclear whether they will attend or not, as they have not performed any official duties since leaving the royal family in 2020 and moving to the US, and even if they do attend, it is reported that they may not be able to take part in the parade to Buckingham Palace. It is also reported that they may not be able to attend the parade to Buckingham Palace if they do attend.

On the other hand, there is some concern amongst those involved that if Prince Harry and his wife were to attend, it would ‘throw a damper’ on the historic event.
