An enthusiastic fan of Travis Barker, drummer of the popular band Blink 182, was arrested after driving his car into a security gate, Page Six and others report.
According to TMZ, the woman, who was arrested for trespassing on Friday 21 April local time, had made numerous attempts to gain access to meet him.
According to the media outlet, the woman tried to go to his house at least four times and also claimed that he had invited her via social media. However, each time she was turned away. The woman eventually drove herself and rammed her way through the gate. The woman was stopped by Travis’ private security team, which led to her arrest.
Travis was not at home at the time of the incident and was returning from rehearsals with his band for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (commonly known as Coachella), the world’s largest music festival. Travis plans to file for a restraining order against the woman.
Blink-182 replaced Frank Ocean, who controversially headlined Coachella at the R&B crooner’s first show. Frank later revealed that he had broken and sprained his left leg at the festival, and on the advice of his doctors, he had to withdraw from the show at the end of the second weekend.
Speaking of Travis, he was rushed to hospital last summer after suffering from ‘serious and life-threatening pancreatitis’. However, he made a high-profile return to the stage just weeks after this emergency trip.
