50 Cent was named as a suspect in the assault.

During a performance at the Crypt.com Arena in Los Angeles on August 30, 50 Cent was handed a malfunctioning microphone by a staff member, who was recorded on video throwing it into the audience in frustration.

Although the destination of the microphone was unknown, DJ Bryhana Monegain of radio station Power 106 revealed that it hit Bryhana herself in the forehead, causing a bleeding injury.

Photos obtained by TMZ show Bryhana undergoing suture surgery and with her head wrapped in gauze.

Meanwhile, a source close to 50 Cent told TMZ that Bryhana should not have been in the off-limits area for non-affiliates near the stage where 50 Cent threw a microphone.

On the night of the incident, Bryhana filed a police report and 50 Cent was reportedly named as a suspect in the assault.

In July, Cardi B was attacked during a concert in Las Vegas when an audience member poured a drink on her, turned the tables on her, and threw a microphone at the woman.

A police report was filed, but Cardi was acquitted, and the microphone was later sold on eBay by Scott Fisher, owner of The Wave, which provided audio equipment for the concert, for a starting price of $500 (approx. 72,000 yen) as a charity auction. It was sold for $99,900 (about $400,000).
