The Late Late Show with James Corden”, a US talk show, is to have its final episode on 27 April. The last episode of the show’s popular ‘Carpool Karaoke’ segment has been released.
The final guest of ‘Carpool Karaoke’ is the British singer Adele.
Normally, presenter James Corden takes the artist in his car for a karaoke session, but this time, as it was the last episode, Adele made an unannounced visit to James’ home. When Adele knocked James out of bed, the two got into the car and the final ‘Carpool Karaoke’ began. Incidentally, James and Adele are known to be very close, as they travel together in private.

When Adele said, “I’m not a good driver,” James, who was in the passenger seat, replied, “I know (laughs).” When Adele said, “I’ve never lived in Los Angeles without the James family, so I’m going to miss them a lot”, James laughed as he worried about Adele’s driving skills, saying, “… too close to the car in front”.
During this episode, Adele sang a series of her biggest hits, including ‘Rolling in the Deep’, ‘Love Is a Game’ and ‘I Drink Wine’. The pair also reflected on their memories of the eight years that The Late Late Show has been on air.
When the topic of her ex-husband Simon Konecki, who divorced in 2019, came up during the show, Adele said, “James and his wife Julia were quite supportive” and “(The year of the divorce) was the first year I felt I had to be responsible for myself as an adult. You (James) and (his wife) Julia were very concerned about me and Angelo (Adele’s son). You supported us with jokes. You and Julia were always like ‘adults’ to me, always giving me advice,” he said, his voice shaking.
James plans to return to his native UK after the show. James, who will be separated from Adele in Los Angeles, said: ‘I can’t stop thinking about what you’ve done this time. I love you and we’ve had the best time here. Our friendship is a family friendship. Distance has nothing to do with it’, he thanked her.
Adele then looked emotional and said, “You are the best friend in the world. I’m going to miss you so much” and she burst into tears.
