Florence Pugh, the popular actress known for her role in Don’t Worry Darling, made an appearance at the Met Gala fashion festival on 1 May (local time).

There, she showed off her full head of hair and has been the talk of the town.

Florence wore a Valentino headpiece on her head, which appeared to have just been shaved. She then walked the red carpet in a white gown with cut-outs adorned with a large black bow.

The look immediately became an internet sensation and trended on Twitter. ‘She’s really cool’, ‘too cool’, ‘looks good with a shaved head’, while others said, ‘No!!! ‘No way…’, ‘It’s going to take her a year to grow her hair out (cries)’, ‘This is a joke…?’ ‘I’ll cry one more time,’ were among the many comments expressing sadness.

Speaking of Florence, Valentino’s look has received mixed reviews in the past. Last July, she appeared in a sheer pink gown at the Valentino couture show in Rome. Her nipples were transparent, which caused a lot of controversy, and some people criticised her body shape and breast size, saying that Florence’s breasts were too small and too flat.

 

In response, Florence said, “What was interesting to watch was how easily, publicly and proudly men can completely destroy a woman’s body. It’s not the first time, and surely not the last, that women have been gossiped about by strangers about what’s wrong with their bodies. What worries me is how vile some of you men can be,” she said in response to men making mindless comments.
