Lionel Messi has been rocked by the issue of a contract extension with PSG.
AFP reported that he had already agreed to move to Saudi Arabia, but his father Jorge Messi posted a statement on social media denying this.

There’s absolutely nothing agreed with any club for next year. The decision will not be made before Lionel finishes the current season with Paris Saint-Germain. After the season ends, we will analyze all available options and make a decision then.”

Messi has denied all rumours, saying that he will not make a decision on his departure until after the season.
Messi is also a tourism ambassador for Saudi Arabia, for which he is paid around 7.5 million euros (1.1 billion yen) a year. The contract also includes an ‘exclusivity clause’ that prohibits him from being involved in the promotion of other tourist destinations during the term of his contract without agreement.
