Jamie Foxx was reportedly rushed to hospital in April.
His daughter Colleen Foxx reported her father’s release from hospital in an Instagram story. It was announced that he will host a TV show as soon as possible.
Jamie was rushed to hospital in Atlanta in April, where he was filming Cameron Diaz’s return to acting. He was reportedly in serious condition for a time, but on 12 May local time, Colleen updated her Instagram story and wrote: “My father has been out of hospital for a few weeks now. He is recovering” and reported that he had been discharged from hospital.
Colleen also mentioned that the reports have gone too far, writing, “Sad to see the way the media is reporting this”, and added, “Dad played pickleball yesterday! Thank you all for your prayers and support! And we have some exciting job announcements coming up next week!” He shared an update on what was going on.
Then, on 15 May (local time), it was announced that Jamie and Colleen will co-host the music quiz show We Are Family, which will air on FOX in the US on 2024, according to Variety. The show will feature duets between an anonymous celebrity and a non-famous member of the public from the family, with respondents guessing the celebrity’s name for a chance to win a cash prize. The celebrity guests will be musicians and athletes.
Jamie also hosts Beat Shazam, a music quiz show, also on FOX, and Colleen is a DJ on the show. Following Jamie’s hospitalisation, the show recorded a new season, with Nick Cannon guest hosting and Kelly Osbourne filling in as DJ. This will air in the summer.
