Attending the recent Psychedelic Science Conference in Denver was rapper Jaden Smith, son of actor Will Smith and actress Jada Pinkett Smith.

In it he revealed that his mother, Jada, was the first person to encourage “psychedelic drugs” in her family.

Psychedelic drugs are hallucinogens such as psilocybin, ayahuasca, LSD, and MDMA, also known as magic mushrooms. Most of them are illegal in the U.S., but some are being studied for use as psychotropic drugs to treat anxiety and other disorders.

Jaden Smith confessed at the conference, “It was actually my mother who took the first step for my family. She was the only one who used it for a really, really long time.” But then it gradually spread, and everyone started adopting it in their own way,” he continued.

Jaden then revealed that by using this drug, he was able to develop a deep relationship with his family, including his half-brothers. He said, “Brothers fight a lot, and they argue a lot. But I could feel their love and affection, both when I was on drugs and when I wasn’t. It was a very deep and beautiful thing. It was something very deep and beautiful,” he added. Jayden said that the drugs helped him to get over his sibling rivalry.

In addition, Jayda confessed that she had battled depression in the past. She also admitted to using psychedelic drugs to overcome her illness. At the time, Jayda stated, “I don’t think it works for everyone,” and then added, “I have struggled with depression for a long time. The treatment with plant-derived drugs not only makes me feel better, but also solves the problem of why I got depressed in the first place.
