Mads Mikkelsen understands Grindelbard.

In “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore“, the third film in the “Fantastic Beasts” series currently in theaters, in addition to Eddie Redmayne as Newt and Jude Law as Dumbledore, who have appeared in previous seasons, Jessica Williams’ Characters such as Eulalie Hicks and Grindelbard, played by Mads Mikkelsen, were introduced.

Grindelbard is not a new character; he was played by Johnny Depp in the first two films. Therefore, the audience had already built up an image in their minds of Grindelbald as played by Johnny Depp, but many people still said that Mats was perfect for the role of Grindelbald, which shows how excellent his casting was.

And Madz, who is so much in line with the image of Grindelbald, may also have a deep understanding of Grindelbald’s character. Mads appeared with Jessica in an interview with Collider. When asked a unique question about which drink he thinks his characters would order if they went to Starbucks, a major American coffee chain, Mads immediately responded with this answer.

I think Grindelbard is an aesthetic man, so he would go to Starbucks and order a glass of water.”

My goodness, the first thing that came to Mads’s mind was not a type of coffee or a Frappuccino or any other drink, but simply, water! What he meant here would indeed not be the free water that is given away, but the quality water that is sold.

Indeed, Grindelbald, a charismatic dark wizard, seems to be very particular about the water he drinks. However, when asked what he would drink at the Starbucks coffee chain, the answer “water” immediately comes to mind, as expected of Mads.

Incidentally, Jessica’s answer was simply “mocha,” she said, “It’s delicious and I think she’s a mocha woman. I don’t know (laughs).
