As reported in Front Row, Johnny’s film Jeanne du Barry premiered as the opening film at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Jeanne du Barry was well received at Cannes and, according to Variety, received a standing ovation for about seven minutes after the screening. The media reported that Johnny was so moved by the scene that he held back tears and waved to the audience, responding to the prolonged applause and cheers, according to the media.

When asked about it in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in the US, Lily said: ‘I’m very happy too. I’m very excited,” she said, “I think it’s great to be involved in a film that we can be really proud of.
