As part of the promotion, director and co-writer James Cameron spoke about the extensive motion capture technology used in “Avatar: The Way of Water.”

In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Cameron even asserted that the special effects in the film are “completely different” when compared to Marvel’s special effects in recent films such as “The Avengers”.

Cameron said, “Before I go any further, I’m not going to make fun of Marvel or the DC Universe…I love those movies. Putting that aside,” he said, “it’s clear that the comic book blockbusters are driving up the volume in the industry. And the improvement in technique elevates all of us together. We’ve got higher quality artists, more tools, plug-ins, and code. More talented people are writing code,” he commented.

He added, “Our team in digital for ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is constantly hiring new people. And it all improves as it emerges from the pool,” he added. The ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ effectors as they are known now are the best. Isn’t it?” He noted that he created the emotional expressions of the characters. He then added, “Thanos (Josh Brolin)? Give me a break. You’ve seen the film. It’s totally different.

Avatar: The Way of Water” emotionally depicts the breath of the beautiful ocean and the creatures that inhabit it, as well as the fierce battle between humans who plan to invade the mysterious planet Pandora and the indigenous Na’vi, and the heart-wrenching emotional drama with the most beautiful images in human history. The film will be released simultaneously worldwide on December 16 (Friday).
