Shock! Migos Offset, in fact, was a ‘stranger’ to Quavo and Takeoff! Why did they say they were ‘relatives’ until now?

A shocking revelation about the relationship between the members of Migos has caused quite a stir.

Formed in 2008, the three-member hip-hop group Migos is known for hits such as ‘Versace’.

For many years, members Quavo, Offset and Takeoff were believed to be related.

It has been widely held that Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle and Offset is Takeoff’s cousin.

When the youngest Takeoff lost his life in a shooting in November 2022, both Quavo and Offset expressed their deep sadness on their social networking sites and reflected on the many hours they spent as a family.

It is now known that Offset is a ‘stranger’ to Quavo and Takeoff.

This was revealed by Offset in a recent interview with Variety magazine. While Quavo and Takeoff are undoubtedly related, Offset was not related to Quavo or Takeoff by blood.

Offset’s relationship with Quavo and Takeoff dates back to when Offset was in the sixth grade.

The three lived in Georgia at the time. Offset and Quavo were classmates in the same primary school; three grades below them was Quavo’s nephew, Takeoff.

The three hit it off very quickly. They started playing together every day and became close friends.

Then, in 2008, they formed Migos.

In this interview, Offset talks about his last song collaboration with Takeoff, the tattoo he got on his entire back in memory of Takeoff, his future music career and much more.

However, when the subject of Takeoff’s shooting death comes up, he says: “It’s hard to talk about Takeoff now. I don’t want to talk about it” and, as if to calm his upset mind, he went to another room, saying, “Let me take a break”.
