Jennifer Lawrence Open to Return to “The Hunger Games”

Jennifer Lawrence, who starred in the hit survival action series “The Hunger Games,” expressed her willingness to make a comeback to the series.

Jennifer Lawrence responded that she would be “100% up for it” if offered the role again.

Lawrence, who is currently promoting her new R-rated comedy “No Hard Feelings,” was asked about the possibility of returning to “The Hunger Games” series in an interview with Variety. She replied, “I’m 100% up for it.

 

Lawrence co-starred with Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and Woody Harrelson in the first film, 2012’s “The Hunger Games,” adapted from the popular young adult novel by Susan Collins. Set in a near-future America where civilization has collapsed, Lawrence played Katniss, a 16-year-old girl forced to participate in a killing game, and starred in the fourth film, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2,” in 2003.

 

The series has a prequel spin-off film, “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes,” set for release in the U.S. on November 17. The film is directed by Francis Lawrence, who has worked on every film since “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The film stars Viola Davis, Rachel Zegler, Tom Blythe, Peter Dinklage, Jason Schwartzman, and Hunter Shaffer.

 

Lawrence and Andrew Barth Feldman star in “No Hard Feelings,” a comedy about a 32-year-old Uber driver (Lawrence) who is hired by a rich couple to seduce their shy 19-year-old son (Feldman) to get some social experience before college. The comedy opens in the U.S. on June 23.
