In-flight entertainment suddenly happened on an airplane. An Instagram reel post of the scene has been attracting a lot of attention.
Pros and cons of this groundbreaking entertainment
During a flight, a passenger brought his own projector and started watching a movie on the door of the luggage rack.
A man named Douglas, who happened to be on the same plane, captured the unusual scene and posted it on Instagram’s reel function. He commented in the caption, “Someone started watching a movie using the projector during the flight,” and continued, “I watched the whole thing.”
The movie projected by the projector was the 2000 film Patriot. No audio was played, and subtitles were displayed along with the images, so the passengers around him were also able to watch the movie.
This man decided to get creative when in-flight entertainment was not offered on his plane. He settled in and used a film projector to watch a movie on the overhead bins of the cabin. ✈️🎞️ #flight #airplane #travel #movie #news #abc7la pic.twitter.com/rc4D5UynAa

From Douglas’ post from Instagram, it is clear that the plane does not have in-flight entertainment panels for each seat. Therefore, while many passengers may have been pleased to be able to watch a movie unexpectedly, the Instagram users who saw the post had a variety of comments.
Some were positive, saying, “Honestly, I think it’s a great idea,” while others said, “I can’t decide if (this act) is extremely rude or thoughtful. Maybe it’s both.” Some users were a bit confused.
Critical opinions include, “Is it acceptable these days to act as if the inside of an airplane cabin is your private space? Where has order gone?” and “I wish you would have mentioned whether the content of the film was appropriate for all passengers,” and some were considerate about the possibility that children on board might watch the film.
According to the TSA’s rules, it is not a violation to bring a projector on board to project a movie, but if you do, you may be in violation of the TSA’s rules. is not a violation, but what would you think if you actually encountered the same situation?
