Flea, bassist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, presents the best album by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
What is the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ #1 album?
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been active since the return of John Frusciante in 2019 after many years away from the band, releasing Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen in 2022.
The band has released 13 albums and won a Grammy in 2007 for their album “Stadium Arcadium,” but which album do the members think is the best? Bassist Flea answered that question in the Los Angeles Times.
The album that Flea thinks is the best album by Leccoli is “Californication,” which was released in 1999. Released in 1999, it was the seventh album by the band and marked the return of John, who had once left the band. The album featured more melodic numbers while retaining the funk sound that is typical of the band.
Flea says, “I would say ‘Blood Sugar Sex Magik,’ but looking back, there are a few songs that I don’t think should have been included. I don’t think ‘The Greeting Song’ was good enough. Californication’ is pretty good from beginning to end,” he praised “Californication. However, he responded that he did not expect “The GreetingSong” to be a suitable song for the album.
Flea also recalled meeting singer Adele, saying, “I met Adele a while ago, and she said that this album (“Californication”) was her favorite. I’m a big fan of Adele’s, so that meant a lot to me,” he said, revealing that “Californication” is also her favorite.
