Actress Zooey Deschanel, known for her role in “(500) Days of Summer,” announced that she is engaged to her boyfriend, reality TV star Jonathan Scott.
Zooey shared a selfie of herself smiling with him on her Instagram.

Showing off her multi-diamond engagement ring, she wrote, “Forever begins!!!!” she added in the caption. Zooey and Jonathan had just recently celebrated four years of dating and expressing their love for each other.
According to an exclusive People report, Jonathan proposed to Zooey on a family trip to Scotland. To make the moment even more special, Zooey’s two children, daughter Elsie, 8, and son Charlie, 6, reportedly played a role in the engagement.
The proposal in Scotland also seems to have a special meaning for Jonathan. Jonathan and his identical twin brother Drew’s father was born and raised in Scotland and moved to Canada as a teenager. Because of their homeland, both brothers wore traditional kilts at Drew’s wedding in 2018.
The post was met with an outpouring of congratulations from fans and celebrities alike.
Zooey and Jonathan met in August 2019. They co-starred in the James Corden series Carpool Karaoke.
On the show, the two filmed an episode with Jonathan’s brother, Drew, and actress Emily Deschanel, Zooey’s sister.
A source revealed to People that the group of four became friends and enjoyed karaoke in Los Angeles shortly thereafter.
After hitting it off, Zoe and Jonathan took their friendship to the next level.
They were all talented, spontaneous, and really enjoyed filming the show,” the source said, “They then started talking as friends and realized there was more to the story.
The month after filming together, the two were spotted holding hands during a romantic dinner date and became romantically involved. That same month, they attended a “Dancing with the Stars” taping together and made their relationship official by sitting in the front row and kissing each other.
