The new film “Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One,” the seventh installment in the Tom Cruise-starring series, is billed as the “culmination” of the series.
Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One
IMF (Impossible Mission Force) agent Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is tasked with the ultimate mission: to find a new weapon that threatens all mankind before it falls into the wrong hands. He knows that this mission must be accomplished, no matter what the cost. Who will he protect then, the mission or his friends? Ethan is faced with the biggest decision in history.
[Review] More than enough potential to be the best in the series.
Dead reckoning is a term used to describe the process of guessing one’s current location at sea based on distance and currents to determine one’s direction of travel, but this film keeps the audience in the present location of the movie theater while transporting them to a story in the middle of nowhere controlled by an AI threat.
Is this film the best in the series? It has more than enough potential to be. The action, which has been constantly upgraded in the past films, has been taken to another level as in the past films set in different parts of the world. And the film also has the essence of touching on Ethan Hunt’s unknown past before he joined the IMF.
Of course, the charisma of the new cast, including Hayley Atwell, Esai Morales, and Pom Klementieff, is not to be missed.

And, as in past films, the action, with its 120-point score, is only one element that complements the unpredictable and humanistic storytelling. And the elusive title “Dead Reckoning” is a disturbing and apt description of the film’s story, which is one of the most complex in the series. I hope you will set your course for the cinema first.
Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One” opens in the United States on July 10.
