Actor and rapper LaKeith Stanfield (31), known for his roles in “Judas and the Black Messiah,” has revealed that he has become a father through a secret marriage.
In an interview with People magazine, LaKeith, who has two daughters from a previous relationship, confessed that he married Kasmere Trice (29) and had a baby.
Assuming that he has decided not to disclose the name or gender of the child this time, LaKeith told the magazine, “I don’t want to be in the public eye. She said, “Being in the public eye can be a wonderful thing, but it can also be very painful. There must be something sacred to everyone that shouldn’t be consumed.”
Kasmere continued, “We decided early on that we wanted to protect our baby for as long as we could.”
The couple, who say they got engaged last December, met in Canada, where LaKeith was working, and suddenly started dating. “We just felt each other out that we could be cool friends,” he said, “We suddenly fell in love. I was working on my music, writing, writing, and then someone like I was writing about just popped into my life. It was strange,” LaKeith recalls of that encounter.
LaKeith was there when Kasmere gave birth, and he also said, “She was in labor. I was there when she went into labor, and in that crazy moment, all I wanted to do was be a support system,” he said. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her,” he said. I want to spend the rest of my life with her.” “When things get hard, we have to remember that the most important thing is our children, and by growing ourselves, we can reflect good things back to them.”
LaKeith is preparing for the U.S. release of “The Horned Mansion,” a live-action film of the popular Disney attraction, next month.
