Recently, Lizzo was sued by three dancers accusing her of body shaming and sexual harassment.

Ariana Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noel Rodriguez filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court against Lizzo, her production company Big Grrrl Big Touring, and members of Lizzo’s dance team.

In the lawsuit, the three dancers allege that after being hired by Lizzo’s dance team, they were sexually harassed by her when they spent a night at a nude club in Amsterdam.

Amidst the publicity surrounding the lawsuit, a filmmaker has spoken out about how she “walked away” from directing a documentary about Lizzo.

Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Sofia Nari Allison of Los Angeles wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday that Lizzo had shown “abuse of power” during their brief time together.

Allison’s post on X came after three of Lizzo’s former backup dancers filed a lawsuit accusing her of body shaming and sexual harassment; Lizzo has not publicly responded to the lawsuit or Allison’s comments.

Allison said, “In 2019, I traveled a bit with Lizzo to direct a documentary about her. I walked away after two weeks. I was treated rudely by her,” she wrote. ‘I saw firsthand how arrogant, self-centered, and unkind she was, throwing me into a shitty situation with no protection and little support. My spirit told me to run away as fast as I could,” she continued.

Although she did not elaborate on what happened with Lizzo, “reading these reports made me realize how dangerous it was,” she said, referring to the lawsuit filed against her.
