Very famous British singer-songwriter Elton John, 76, was transported to the hospital but has returned home safely.
After slipping and falling at his villa in southern France, Elton visited a local hospital as a precaution.
Elton, who fell at his French villa on August 27, was discharged the next morning after undergoing tests at a local hospital, and is now home and in good health, according to his publicist.
A statement issued by the agency said, “Elton is now home and in good health. After slipping and falling yesterday at his home in the south of France, Elton visited a local hospital as a precaution. Following tests, he was discharged immediately this morning and is back home and doing well.”
Elton, who lives in Berkshire, England, and has other homes in London and the U.S., was spending her summer vacation in France with her husband David Furnish and their two sons after the Yellow Brick Road Tour, which was her last tour this year.
A source told the Daily Mail about the situation. ‘There was a little accident at the villa in Mont Boron. She was admitted to the orthopedics department of the Princess Grace Hospital, but suffered only minor injuries. I underwent brain and lumbar spine scans and there were no fractures.”
In 2021, Elton decided to postpone the remainder of the tour until this year, citing residual pain and discomfort after the fall, and said at the time. He said at the time, “I’m never going to be 100% healthy and confident. My back has been hurting for a long time. I can’t move from side to side, and I can’t get in and out of the car. This decision was unavoidable. I don’t want to be less than 100% myself on stage.”
