Burberry opened a new flagship store on rue Saint-Honoré in Paris with a new global design concept.
Paris is an important place in the history of Burberry, as it is where founder Thomas Burberry opened his first international store in 1909.
The new store was designed by renowned architect Vincenzo de Cotiis, who also designed Burberry’s Sloane Street flagship store in London.
To celebrate the opening, the store exterior is decorated in a new birch brown check, a further exploration of the signature check.
At the same time, the entire city is being taken over by checks, with projections of the iconic check pattern on famous Parisian landmarks and a check-clad London cab fleet.
