The Johnny Depp vs. Amber Heard defamation trial has been filled with shocking testimony one after another. Amber’s sister Whitney and Johnny’s ex-girlfriend Ellen Barkin will testify for Amber’s side. Johnny will also take the stand again and will be questioned by Amber’s lawyers.

Johnny countered that Ellen has a grudge against Johnny.

 

According to People, Ellen will testify via video, while her sister Whitney will appear in court and testify in person; the two also testified in Johnny’s lawsuit against The Sun in the UK.

Ellen and Johnny started dating in the late 1990s, when she was filming “Las Vegas. At the last trial, she testified that a bottle of wine was thrown at her in a hotel room. Regarding this, Johnny countered that Ellen had a grudge against him. He claimed that this was not true, saying, “I don’t have anger management issues.”

 

As for Whitney, Amber mentioned him in this trial, and she testified that Johnny hit her sister because she tried to throw him down the stairs.

 

Johnny, who has already testified, will also take the stand again and will be questioned by Amber’s lawyer.

 

The trial has been continuing at the Fairfax, VA courthouse since April 11 local time, and is scheduled to resume on May 16 after a recess.

 

The trial is based on Amber’s confession of domestic violence victimization in an opinion article in the Washington Post newspaper, claiming that she lost her job and reputation because she suggested that the perpetrator, although she did not name him, was Johnny, and filed a lawsuit against her for defamation of character. Johnny is demanding $50 million, while Amber is countersuing for $100 million, creating the appearance of a direct confrontation.
