Actor Johnny Depp, known for his iconic films such as the “Pirates of the Caribbean” film series, made his TikTok debut.
As many of you know, Johnny recently won a lawsuit against his ex-wife, actress Amber Heard, for defamation. The jury found that an op-ed Amber contributed to the Washington Post in 2018 was defamatory and ordered Amber to pay Johnny a total of $15 million in damages. Amber also won a counterclaim against Johnny for $2 million) in damages.
In a statement after winning his case, Johnny thanked his fans for their support, saying, “I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and the tremendous support and kindness from all over the world,” and in his memorable first post on TikTok, he wrote, “To all of my most treasured, loyal and unwavering supporters. We’ve been everywhere together, we have seen everything together. We have walked the same road together. We did the right thing together, all because you cared. And now, we will all move forward together. You are, as always, my employers and once again I am whittled down to no way to say thank you, other than just by saying thank you. So, thank you. My love & respect, JD” he said, again thanking his fans.

Johnny already has more than 6.6 million followers on TikTok, and his message above has received more than 3.5 million likes. Amber’s representative released a statement. In response to Johnny Depp’s message that he was “moving on,” Amber’s representative released a statement saying, “While Johnny Depp says he is ‘moving on,’ women’s rights are being set back. The verdict in this trial is a message for victims of domestic violence to ‘stand up and be afraid to speak out,'” she complained. Amber is reportedly planning to appeal the verdict.
