LV Trainer now made of sustainable materials

Created by Louis Vuitton designer Virgil Abloh, who died in 2021, the LV Trainer is the new face of the shoe collection.

Created using an intricate manufacturing process in Louis Vuitton’s shoe atelier in Fiesse d’Artico, Italy, the sneaker combines eco-design with exceptional craftsmanship, following a circular creative code.

The sole of the new LV Trainer is made of an unprecedented 94% recycled polyurethane, while the upper is a mix of recycled polyester and corn-based plastic material. The laces are made of used plastic, the tongue is also made of recycled polyester, and the eyelets contain 91% regenerated polyurethane for a sustainable pair.

The LV trainer features a logo designed by Virgil that has a strong presence. The logo will be available in white with green accents in August, and in white with black accents and white with red accents in September.
