Season 2 of the “Sex and the City Sequel” Finally, Carrie’s Ex-Boyfriend Makes a Comeback?

AND JUST LIKE THAT, the 11-year-old sequel to the drama “Sex and the City. / “Sex and the City New Chapter” Season 2 will reportedly feature the ex-boyfriend of the main character Carrie Bradshaw.

The long-awaited sequel drama to the drama that once dominated a lifetime, “Sex and the City,” “ANDJUST LIKE THAT… / AJLT” (Sex and the City: A New Chapter), which was distributed in Japan via U-NEXT, was such a huge hit that it became the most watched foreign drama series of all time, and a Season 2 is now in production.

There is a character in “AJLT” who did not appear until the very end, but caused a stir.

That person is Aidan, a furniture designer played by John Corbett, who was once in a relationship with Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw. When John was initially asked about appearing in “AJLT,” he replied, “I’m in it. I’m very excited. I think I’ll be on quite a lot,” he told Page Six, but was not seen until the very end.

However, showrunner Michael Patrick King told IndieWire, “We didn’t say anything about Aidan in the first place,” and said that he had not planned to appear in the show from the beginning. Later, Sarah revealed that John had only said it “as a joke”.

However, “AJLT” Season 2 will actually feature Aidan, Deadline reported. Although John and HBO Max’s side have not responded to the rumors, according to Deadline, Aidan will appear in multiple episodes in season 2 and will play a furniture maker as before.

After the disappointing end to “AJLT” Season 1, we can only hope that the rumors are true this time around.
