Additionally, the release schedule for “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” has been postponed and recently changed from March 2023 to December 2023. When the date was first changed from this year to 2023, director Wan explained that it was so that the CGI-intensive film would have more time to work on special effects. Plot details are still being kept under wraps, but it is clear that the film will delve deeper into the undersea world of Arthur Curry.

Wan released new concept art for the film on Instagram after reports of the postponement. The image depicts colorful underwater areas, lush environments, and even action-packed moments. Wan calls the image part of the film’s “epic worldview.”

Perhaps the most eye-catching image in this concept art is the last one. It depicts Aquaman battling Black Manta, the villain from the first film that fans have been clamoring for to return. Black Manta is said to play a more important role in the sequel, and this concept art may offer a glimpse of his final battle with the hero played by Momoa. Additionally, the concept art depicts a shark-like character, one of which appears to be the new villain, Carchon, who is said to be featured in the film.

The release date for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was recently postponed. Although information will likely remain scarce until next year, this concept art has fans excited.
