Surprise guests made an appearance, and the local crowd went wild!

The VMAs are one of the largest music awards ceremonies in the U.S., and this year, the 39th annual event was held at the Prudential Center in New Jersey, where the artists gave glittering performances in front of the audience and shared their joy at winning the awards, while surprise guests made appearances. Surprise guests also made appearances, adding to the excitement at the event.

Opening this year’s “VMAs” was four-time winner Jack Harlow. While performing his hit song “First Class,” he flirted with Avril Lavigne and others. Fergie also appeared as a surprise guest to perform her hit song “Glamorous,” which has become a hit again after being sampled by First Class, and the event began with a performance that was typical of the “VMAs.

Taylor Swift, who won three awards for Best Video, Best Long Form Video, and Best Director, was dressed in a mirror ball outfit covered in bijoux and said, “We put everything we had into this song to make it worthy of the love our fans have put into it. We put all of our heart and soul into this song to make it worthy of the love our fans put into it. This award proves that we did the right thing, and we are so grateful to receive this beautiful award. I love you all! He exclaimed with joy.

Nicki Minaj, who received the Video Vanguard Award, appeared in a pink and purple outfit with a giant ribbon and performed 12 of her most famous songs, including “Moment 4 Life” and “Super Bass. During the ceremony, she also named legendary MCs who have influenced her flow, including Jay Z, Foxy Brown, and Lil Wayne, as well as those who have supported her throughout her career, including Eminem, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Rihanna, Britney Spears, and Madonna. He expressed his gratitude.

Reflecting on the passing of Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston, he added, “I wish Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson were here. I wish people understood what they meant and what they went through. I wish people would take mental health seriously,” he continued, expressing his gratitude.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers, winners of the Global Icon Award and Best Rock Video, sang their new song “Black Summer” and setlist staple “Can’t Stop. The band did not use any flashy effects in their performance, but instead pushed their unparalleled musicianship to the forefront. Drummer Chad Smith also remembered Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 50, saying, “I dedicate this to Taylor and his family. I love them and miss him every day.

Rizzo, who won the Video for Good award for “About Damn Time,” said, “Your vote means everything. To me, it means as much as making a difference in this country. When you vote for your favorite artists, remember to go to the polls to vote in elections to change some of the laws that are suppressing our activities. Thank you so much for supporting and loving me,” she said, expressing his gratitude with a social message.

BLACKPINK, the winner of the Best Metaverse Performance Award, became the first K-pop girl group to perform on the “VMA” stage. Dressed in all-black and accompanied by backup dancers, BLACKPINK appeared in pink smoke. They performed their latest single, “Pink Venom,” and made their VMA debut in sensational style, skillfully performing a sexy choreography that was as punchy as the song’s lyrics. BLACKPINK member LISA became the first female K-pop artist to win the award for Best K-pop Video.

MTV will broadcast the event on Saturday, September 3 at 9:30 p.m. (There will be a rebroadcast.)
